    That’s a great design. But I still prefer the new turbo V6 engines, because they come standard with main bearing ejection system. Once they fully perfect this feature, I’m hoping it will allow the worn bearing to shoot straight out of the engine, automatically opening an inspection port in the crankcase. I’m also going to wait until they improve the valve cover by going from plastic to cardboard to improve valve train lubrication-users will be able to pour oil directly onto the valve cover to soak it and let the oil seep through onto the newly designed silicone camshafts and valvetrain components. Lastly, by substituting steel timing chain with a high tensile strength fishing line, Toyota will be able to give us the ultimate engine, beating all euro carmakers in inverse longevity tests.

      I have the new V6 engine, it is a great engine. But as with any new release you can expect some problems. This is the Tax of being an early adopter. Although this engine was in the LS 500 since 2017 ( not that new) Atleast I am sure that toyota will sort this problem out. To be honest almost all of their previous engines had problems too. I remember the legendary 5.7 had recalls. Also the 4.6 and the 3.5 liters engine in the ES and avalon. These are all known to be reliable engines. But they had their shares of problems back when they were new. Then toyota will start perfecting them overtime.

    • @linvesel
      @linvesel 23 години тому

      @@fahadalsowaidi7965 of course they will perfect them. Especially now that I’ve provided them with the blueprint of improvements free of charge. Also, I’ve grown to hate and despise my GX470, because it refuses to develop any engine/drivetrain issues-bores me to death by not ever stranding me despite its 210k mileage and monthly off-road use. While I am partially at fault for this annoying reliability with my so-called maintenance discipline, I will not let Toyota off the hook for engineering a V8 which won’t even hint at bearing play at 200k+ mileage. Do better Toyota! Give us a reliable, fun engine that breaks down suddenly in 20-25k mi intervals. Please either add a 3rd turbocharger, or add a supercharger that blows air into the turbos. Lastly, why choose between liquid cooling and oil cooling of the turbos? Just combine the cooling and oil systems together and have the engine components be cooled and lubricated by oil+coolant mixture. I also want a full touchscreen interior, touchscreen steering wheel and touchscreen pedals.

    • @repairvehicle
      @repairvehicle 20 годин тому

      Using plastic for valve covers is not perfecting its downgrading. It’s a weak point that always leaks oil and expensive to replace

    • @linvesel
      @linvesel 20 годин тому

      @@repairvehicle Exactly. Therefore if they absolutely must use plastic as valve cover material, it would be much more cost-effective to simply use Saran Wrap or any cling wrap for that matter. They could be used as standalone or in combination with oil-soaked cardboard valve covers to keep the engine bay clean.

    I've just had my own experience with TPMS on my Lexus. One of my OEM sensors had a dead battery, and they all had corroded valve stems so I decided to replace them all, rather than trying to replace the battery. I went with a set of Chinese no name sensors from eBay, and I bought an Autel TPMS tool. I managed to program them using Techstream with no problem. They seemed to work, but randomly go to sleep and cause a fault to show on longer drives. It was like they only worked when the car had been parked up for several hours. Then one of them went completely dead and I needed new tyres, so I got 4 new Autel sensors fitted at the same time. I once again programmed them myself and here's hoping they actually work properly. Lots of shops use Autel because they have high compatibility with different makes. Btw the original sensors on my 2009 Lexus were made by Pacific, not TRW.

    Is this oil good for a 4 cycle engine like 7 hp inverter generator? It uses 10w30 oil. Just wondering

    I’ve got Accord with 2.4 engine, 2006, 194,000miles, no problems at all. Original chain. One of the best engines Honda ever built. Like any engine, if you don’t change the oil you will get problems .

    The zero oils are in them for more "environmental friendly" longer milage services. It's crap though because they don't care after it gone out of warranty.

    • @repairvehicle

      Can you explain how these oils environmentally friendly?

    • @tomaswall6935
      @tomaswall6935 6 днів тому

      @@repairvehicle they are not, car manufacturers are trying to push out service intervals so on paper they are more "environmentally friendly". As long as they last longer than the warranty that's all that Matters to them. It's a false economy really. Much better off doing your oil and filter every 5/10 k

    I bought a used Acura TL 2003 with DTC transmission code. I changed the outside filter and the code went away and shifts perfectly.

    Wow your filter was at 220k miles and still seems good despite the fluid not being changed on time.

    The oil filter actually flows the opposite way so it doesn’t matter. Oil pushes past the rubber stoppers on the bottom , outside (anti drain back valve) 4 hole version & 5 hole version shown; Intake Side. through the outside of the filter pushing oil through the middle of the filter and out the center hole in the bottom. Only experienced people will get mad at this video… sorry bit of trolling

    Mobil 1 is the best. It’s the reason everyone compares Mobil 1 against another products. Pennzoil is probably a great oil since it’s a group 3+. Right now I’m using Quaker State Synthetic in my 14 Silverado 110,000 and 2010 Camry 178,000 miles. Used Amsoil Signature in the past on both vehicles and the Quaker State feels the same as the Amsoil. Very impressed with the Quaker State synthetics.

    Ok pennzoil ultra platinum is the best store bought oil you can get hands down. Amsoil is the best but pennzoil is right up there just behind it. For the price I use ultra platinum and I have been very happy with it. Good vid.
